FAQ

Q: Are book videos effective?

Like any form of video advertising, the goal of a book video should be to capture the essence and “emotion” of a product (your book) quickly so a viewer sticks around long enough to receive instructions on how to make a purchase or where to get more information. A 30 second promo does a great job at hooking potential readers and prompting them to investigate further, like visiting the author’s web site or perusing reviews at Amazon. If an author has no supporting content, like a web site or reviews, then a 60 second promo may be more effective by packing in more content, while still hovering safely within the human attention span. While it would be great if readers purchased books simply because they liked a video promo, the reality is it’s your writing style, story or life story that typically closes a sale. That being said, videos are by far the best way to get readers interested in the first place.

Q: Can I supply images and artwork in addition to my book cover?

Of course! Please provide everything you can, including ideas and expectations. Some customers create and share a lightbox with me from sites like istockphoto or shutterstock.  It's a great way to convey your ideas and concepts.

Q: When and how do I pay the remaining balance?

When you are satisfied with the final video I will request the outstanding balance through PayPal.

Q: Do you create banners?

Yes. I can use images from your promo or create an entirely new campaign. Contact me for pricing.
